According to Pollster Scott Rasmussen, 43% of likely voters now disapprove of how the Obama administration is governing. That number is going to go higher. As can be seen by the phenomenon of Tea Parties that spontaneously erupted nationwide, the sleeping majority of Americans are waking up to Obama's new day, and finding it is not what was advertised.
I believe we are seeing the first signs of buyer's remorse. Even the sycophantic main stream media will not be able to keep a lid on this for long. It took 8 long years of continuous bashing from the media on President Bush to set the stage for Obama. He seems to have squandered the good will of the average American in less than 3 months. His policies and drive towards stat ism is anathema to the psyche of all that is America. Do not lose hope out there. The sun may have set on the "compassionate conservatism" of the Bush administration, but a new day will soon dawn for traditional Americans that value the foundational beliefs of this still great country. November of 2010 is coming. The special interests within the democrat party are starting to fissure. The American public is becoming aware of the hypocrisy of the new administration. The transparency that was promised is proving to be a lie. The never ending crises are wearing thin. The rampant spending is infuriating the electorate.
When you sew the wind, you reap the whirlwind. Obama is about to discover the truth in this.
Congress will look very different in January of 2011.

The Criminalization of Dissent
The Department of Homeland Security has just dispatched to local law enforcement a paper on what it considers to be the gravest threat to America. The threat is not Al Queda. The threat is not a nuclear Iran. The threat is not Pirates on the Horn of Africa.
The threat is internal. The threat is real. The threat is imminent. The threat is anyone who is politically to the right of the administration. Really. They are serious.
We have now reached a point in America where political free speech rights being exercised may well put you on a watch list for domestic terror suspects. Such vile acts as being opposed to unlimited abortion rights. Such vile acts as the belief that the Constitution should be the supreme law of the land, including that troublesome 10th amendment and the limits it places on the power of the Federal government. Such vile acts as volunteering for military service, honoring that commitment to the cause of liberty at much risk to yourself, and returning home. All of these seditious behaviors are specifically mentioned as warning signs in this document provided to local law enforcement by DHS.
The current administration is actively working to circumvent the Bill of Rights, the 1st, 2nd, and 10th amendments in particular, through the de facto criminalization of political dissent. Just a few short months ago, the press and the left(if they are indeed separate organs) espoused the view that dissent was the highest form of patriotism. This is no longer true in the Age of Obama.
Be prepared for continued bullying of dissenters, and intimidation of non-believers of the Way that Obama espouses. America has a glorious history of being tolerant of dissent....of encouraging free speech...of respecting the heartfelt beliefs of those that peacefully oppose the policies of government. Those days may now be over. Be prepared to either acquiesce to the demands of government, or find the boot of the federal bureaucracy placed firmly on your throat. Let us pray that enough Americans are paying attention to the rapid erosion of individual Liberty. The voting booth is the best weapon we have.

4 thugs and a fool
Somali pirates, driving speed boats and armed with various light arms, hijacked an American flagged ship off the horn of Africa. Just another day in the middle east region. The biggest difference is that this is an American ship. This represents a clear escalation of intensity by the pirates. This group of thugs is openly challenging the US by attacking one of her ships... This day has an even more interesting twist. The American vessel's crew resists the pirates, and retakes the boat. (Who said the American spirit is dead?)
The captain of the ship, in a bid to lesson the risk to his crew, volunteers to go into a lifeboat with 4 of the highjackers (prior to the crew's brave endeavor to retake the ship). Enter a US Navy warship, armed to the teeth with huge guns, missiles, and a cadre of the most highly trained military personnel on the planet. The lifeboat filled with 4 pirates and the captain of the Maersk Alabama, runs out of fuel and drifts at sea. Navy personnel secure the Alabama, and get the freighter to safer waters. This leaves only the 4 pirates and the American hostage in a small boat with no fuel, and a US Navy vessel in the area.
In a sane world, this confrontation would already be over, and Special Forces teams would be decimating the camps of these pirates, and any other pirates on the Somali coast. The US must take aggressive and strong action to make certain that this type of incident does not happen again. But this is a new era of Hope and Change. Having just returned from the great appeasement tour of Europe, President Obama has already shown to the world that he views America as the source of all that is wrong with our otherwise peaceful and pristine globe. No doubt the pirates have noted this, along with the Russians, Chinese, Iranians, North Koreans, and every other rogue nation that wishes harm to our country.
This President needs to send a strong, and immediate message to the world. An overwhelming military response to this act of piracy and terror should have already taken place. But this is not a sane world. This is the World of Obama. We will negotiate with these 4 reprobates in the out of fuel boat. We will fawn over them to find their grievances, and likely apologize for any percieved slight. We may even pay a ransom, and refer the matter to an international court for the violations of maritime law. The President will show our country to be weak. A paper tiger without the will to defend her self interests, her citizens, or her honor.
And some day, in the not too distant future, Americans will die due to another terrorist attack somewhere in the world. The bad guys will know that we will do nothing in response, except hold hearings in the Senate and protest loudly to the UN. We don't want to be percieved as a bully on the world stage, after all. Heaven forbid we should safeguard our self-interests like any other nation on earth would do (with the possible exception of the French, but that is another story for another day). It will take years to undo the damage already done by this President to our nation and to the Constitution he has sworn to protect and defend. It is looking like it is going to be a very long 4 years.

national defense vs. global warming
We live in interesting times. As I look around the world, I see despots, fanatics, and religious zealots feverishly working on all manner of ways to assault liberty, perpetuate bondage to either state or religion, and fomenting an assault on the very ideals that founded this nation and propelled it to becoming The World Leader that drives the world economy and defends freedom in a scant 240 years. Our elected leader has just finished grovelling on the world stage and apologizing for not only our existence, but our history, and our ideals.
Obama is now preparing to gut our military, as he single-handedly oversees the destruction of our economy. But fear not! As noted on Drudge, he is now embracing "radical new technology", (read unproven), to combat the myth of Global Climate Change by firing pollution into the upper atmosphere to deflect radiation (heat) away from our fragile little planet and save the world for all the aforementioned despots, fanatics, and religious zealots.
I have a vision of NASA launching 10,000 Hummers into orbit, all set at a high idle, having had their catalytic converters removed. Dont' know about you, but I am ready to invest in GM again..........
Thank goodness experience isnt needed to be the most powerful person on the planet.
